Has MAT gone crazy?

Okay, last you heard from me, I was very, how do we say, 'Vexed', at Metro Area Transit. Now, I'm vexed again, but somewhat controlled my anger. If your didn't know, on April 25, MAT completely changed it routes. For me, it means, if I wanted to take the bus, I would have to walk a far distance to get to the nearest bus stop. Then, it would take even longer to get to where I need to go. You think I'm lying? Well, before the change, I would take the 3 going to Midtown to 40th and Cumings. I would down to 48th and Spaulding, which is down the hill from my house, catch the 3 there and it would take about 7 to 10 minutes. Now, if I wanted to go to Cumings, I would have to go all the up to 48th & Ames, wait on the number 18 downtown to 20th & Cuming and take the 14 Westroads to 40th & Cumings, which takes 36 minutes. If you think I'm lying, here's proof:

Now, I called MAT several, asking why this change. Finally, after the fifth or sixth time, They said that it was because not many people the bus as much.

Okay, so all the times, I and others relied on the bus for school, work, shopping, etc. because we don't have cars, don't want to rely on other people, have some form of independence, that didn't count for anything. And now, I have to rely on said others because if I wanted to take the bus, it would take practically forever to get where I need to go. So, thank you MAT, for making completely dependence on a ride because, obviously, my business didn't count for much, if anything.

iPad: Final Thoughts

At first, I thought that the iPad would work for me. It's lightweight so it was be easy for travel and I was planning on use it for business trips and portfolios. However, I can only use one to two apps at a time. That's a problem for me because I'm a big multitasking. You can ask any of my friend and family. They can confirm this. It's not to say that the iPad is a glorified iPod Touch. It can be extremely beneficial for people who take notes without needing a pen or pencil and who need a bigger screen, those who need to look at files quickly without having to dig thru tons of paper and those who wanted to display their portfolios without having to carry heavy samples of their work. (Ex: Receptionists, Doctors, Nurses, Lawyers, Photographers, Graphic Designers, Web Developers, Moms, Dads, Building Planners, etc.) But, for me, I'll stick with my iPod Touch. I'm going to use it to display my portfolio. It's small, but, for me, it works. Also, I'm going to bring my laptop on business trips. With me, I need to multitask or I'd feel out of sync. So, for those wanting to get the iPad on April 3rd, good luck and I hope it suits all your needs.
